The BA in Political Science and Master of Public Health accelerated program allows qualified students to complete these degrees with a minimum of 153 credits rather than the 165 credits required to complete the degrees separately. Students holding these degrees will be prepared to lead at the intersection of policy and community well-being. Through interdisciplinary coursework and applied learning, students gain the skills to navigate complex political systems, analyze and shape public policies, and advocate for evidence-based solutions that advance population health. Graduates are equipped to address pressing public health needs and drive meaningful policy change in government, nonprofits, and public health organizations.
The Master of Public Health program provides a rigorous curriculum to help students develop the analytic and critical reasoning skills to improve population health. Students gain the skills needed for employment in a broad range of positions in local, state and national public health agencies as well as private and academic research. This program offers four concentrations: applied public health, epidemiology, cancer prevention and control science, and health policy.
