Take a peek at our Events page, where you'll find details on our exciting events for the 2018-19 school year! Here's a thumbnail version of what we have planned so far:

Gerrymandering, Redistricting and the Midterm Elections: Join Dr. Alex Keena, one of VCU POLI’s newest faculty members, as he speaks about the extent of gerrymandering in U.S. politics and previews what the upcoming midterm elections could mean for the future of congressional redistricting after the 2020 census.

Election Night Watch Party: Join the VCU Political Science Alumni Society, VCU Department of Political Science and the Xi Pi Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha as we watch the congressional election results roll in. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided; cash bar.

Giving Tuesday: A Civil Rights Movement class trip through parts of the Deep South has been selected as one of the featured projects for VCU College of Humanities and Sciences’ new Giving Tuesday campaign.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service: Alumni and students are invited to join the Political Science faculty and staff as volunteers with HandsOn Greater Richmond on the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

Alumni Weekend: The VCU Alumni Political Science Alumni Society will be planning an event to coincide with the university-wide Reunion Weekend April 5-7, 2019.
